Screensavers From the Nokia N95!!

Thanks to the Kev and our forum section today I have realized that are few cool flash based hidden screen savers on the Nokia N95 and I have decide to make it available for wider auditorium by porting the guide to the front page.

Anyway, first of all, if you haven’t already got it you’ll need some 3 rd party file manager that has access to the ROM (Z:) drive.

There are numerous solutions out there but in my personal opinion y-browser and x-plore are the best solutions at the moment, actually to be honest x-plore is simply the best file browser for the S60 3rd edition, it is the fully functional sharewa... .. .

+ SF Guide: How to hack N95’s News reader settings

06 June 2007

New Tweak from SF team
Hack the N95’s News reader template!

As you may have already know, Nokia N95 runs S60 platform 3rd edition, Feature Pack 1 and it means that it comes with new improved Safari browser and improved RSS reader. Feed reader now supports the Atom format (in addition to RSS) and the browser renders feeds in html format.

Previously, feeds could only be viewed as short text only summaries while the new version is capable to process and show, images, full text and links in html format which is incomparable better solution, but... .. .

Unfortunately, the main layout/template isn’t as good as it should be and therefore whole concept doesn’t looks very well and we getting lot of complains related to the news reader.

Text size is simply too large and it makes feed really hard to use and not eye friendly. Even worse, feed rea... . . . .

+ How to move and save your messages directly on MMC

15 February 2005

How to move and save your messages directly on your MMC
(N-Gage / SX1 / X700 / 6260 / 3230 / etc..)
(updated )

If you have a N-gage, Siemens SX1, Panasonic X700 or 6260 you might know that you can’t change your message storing memory, it’s a factory disabled function. I think it’s because of MMC swapping reasons.

This guide will teach you how to bypass that restriction and move/save your messages directly on MMC instead on your phone memory! This means any kind of messages, SMS, MMS, email, and Bluetooth too!

This gives you many benefits. For example, you will get more free space in your phone memory. But the most important benefit is that you can finally use direct BT sending for transferring of large files (music, movies, games, etc) from your PC or share that content between two phones without the necessity to set-up connection manger and the use of PC suite or other similar software like Desktop file manger.

But that's not all, learn how to make a transparent background look OP logo (like on nokia s40 phones for example).

Well, if you ever try than you know that S60 phones don't support gif's as op logo, they use bitmap files without masking support, so we will learn how to make/setup op logo to fit theme background like on images belowe and avoid damn ugly non transparent Oplogos...
