+ FIX: New Tweak from SF Team - N93 zoom noise solution!

22 February 2007

Nokia N93(i)
How to Get Rid of the Annoying Background Noise Caused by Zoom/Focus Motor!

I have just run some tests on my Nokia N93, and indeed I have found a way to eliminate the noise from the zoom motor. I believe for those that like the Nokia N93i with continuous auto focus, will appreciate this solution even more.

The solution is to use a Bluetooth headset! While video recording, instead of using the internal stereo microphone, it uses the mono microphone on the Bluetooth headset!

This indeed is a breakthrough as now; one can zoom or have autofocus on all the time for Nokia N93i users without listening to the horrible motor ticking sou. . .

Nokia says that BlackBerry isn't their enemy

The target for Nokia’s 2007 business mobility strategy isn’t the BlackBerry -- it’s the millions of inboxes and corporate foot soldiers ignored by the push e-mail revolution.

Think of it as bringing business mobility to the working masses, suggests Mathia Nalappan, Nokia Asia Pacific vice president for Enterprise Solutions.

Speaking at the company’s Showcase Nokia 2007 event in Bangkok recently, Nalappan told ZDNet Austra... .

"We'll be working on Symbian for sure"
says EA Mobile's Euro boss

Stuart Dredge has an interesting interview over the Pocket Gamer with EA Mobile's European boss Javier Ferreira.

As the gap gets bigger between the best gaming handsets and the basic ones, will you separate them out though? Eidos recently released their 3D Tomb Raider game only for high-end handsets, for example. They didn't try to turn it into a low-end game, too.

At the moment, the way we're approaching this it to try to bring particular propositions across all the handset families. Inevitably, the difference between the low-end vers... .

Video and Image Samples

Probably the first thing that you will notice about the N95 is the fact that the Nokia N95 is the first Nokia phone which bumps resolution up to 5.0 mega pixels (2592 x 1944 pixels) and I am pretty sure that most of you will be impressed about that number, but.. . .

If you know a little bit more about photography you should know that the amount of pixels is just one, in fact not a very important number on the specification paper.

The megapixel race on the digital cameras of the last years seems to have settled down now but in the mobile phone world it seems that there is a completely differe... .

In fact, the top executive of the world’s leading mobile operating system maker claims he welcomes Apple’s move into the market, particularly in North America.
