Kik Messenger Coming Soon To Symbian
Allowing Users To Join Closed Beta Testing

Kik MessengerKik Messenger, a real-time cross-platform instant messenger application released on October 19, 2010 by Kik Interactive which is available for all major mobile platforms including the iOS and Android is finally coming to Symbian devices as well.

Application is in its latest stage of development and developers from KiK Interactive want to give a small group of you a sneak peak before submitting app to Nokia store and releasing the final version of application to public access.

Same as Whatsapp, Pingchat! or Kakaotalk, Kik Messenger is the totally free, crazy-fast phone number-based messenger application that connects you to your friends in real-time. Kik allows you to chat, share pictures privately, plan outings with groups, and stay connected to the people who matter most to you.

Compared to SMS (texting, text messaging), Kik Messenger is freer and faster – it’s like having a real conversation with someone in a more life-like way than any other messaging app out there too.

In short Kik’s service is like Blackberry Messenger, but cross-platform solution and that’s main reason why Kik messenger has been Kik Messenger from BlackBerry App World and limited the functionality of the software for its users.

Since it is a kind of push system based on the phone number, app makes a list of those of your contacts that are already using Kik Messenger and adds them to the list and enables you to text them or share pictures and other media files. Also if you know your friends Nickname you it can be manually added to app list.

You’re going to fall in love
with Kik Messenger and here’s why:

- Hands-down the fastest, most life-like chat experience for your smartphone
- Instant notifications show you when a message is Sent, Delivered, Read
- Picture Sharing - privately share moments as they happen or from your gallery
- Group Chat - create groups on the go simply by adding friends to conversations
- Completely free – no messaging fees and no ads
- Beautiful look and feel, offline messages, push notifications, and more

So why not see for yourself, give it a go and if you like it, recommend it to your friends as well! In the coming weeks, Kik for Symbian will be only availableto a limited group of beta users and if you'd like to be included go to Kik’s web site and fill in the form over there.

A few months ago, the Symbian community asked us for a Kik version of their very own, and we're very excited to announce it's almost ready! But before we release it publicly, we want to give a small group of you a sneak peak (see below).

We understand why you love Symbian: it's smooth, open, light on battery, and fast - many of the same things Kik is known for. And we think that the millions of Symbian users around the world still deserve high quality, beautiful apps, despite the platform's uncertain future (and the press' gleeful predictions of its demise).

Kik is a Symbian app you can be proud of. It's faster, more beautiful and reliable than all other messengers on the platform (including <ahem> Whatsamacallit). We think it's a great example of how polished and powerful Symbian apps can be when they've been made by true fans of the platform. We hope you love it too. :)
