+ Brief: Nokia Rolled Out The First Firmware Update For E7

15 march 2011

Nokia Has Rolled Out First Firmware
Update (v14.002 - PR1.1) For Nokia E7

FOTA - Firmware Over The Air I just want to give everyone a quick heads up that Nokia has rolled out the first firmware update for its elegant and sleek device that offers the best of both worlds, an awesome multi-touch screen, and the full size QWERTY.

Firmware version 14.0.002, (also known as PR 1.1) is now regularly available for Nokia E7 for most of the generic product codes as 'Over The Air' update and as usually, it should be progressively available at the Nokia service points and available through the NSU as well.

There is no detailed change log but it is anyway highly suggestible to get it as it usually brings dozens of minor bug fixes and improves reliability of your phone and offers extensive improvements in the performance.

Nokia E7 has the UDP but it is anyway highly suggestible to back up your phone memory before performing a firmware update just as precaution measure in case something goes wrong.

Update is pretty small, just 907 kB in size so process of downloading and updating firmware shouldn't take too long and cost you too much. Nokia provides this software free of charge. However, costs for downloading may be charged by your network operator or service provider. Please contact them for information about pricing.
