Minor Firmware Update
For Nokia 5250 Now Available

It’s been a busy few days for folks over at Nokia software labs. They have release number of firmware updates for their Symbian based Smartphones and the last one in series of updates came to music-centric device aimed anyone seeking a modern, multipurpose full touchscreen smartphone that also offers great value for money.

Nokia 5250, firmware version v11.0.008 is supposed to be available for most of the generic Euro codes as 'Over The Air' update and will be progressively available at the Nokia service points and through Nokia Software Updater as well.

According to pretty short bulletin of the changes issued by Nokia, firmware v11 brings just minor improvements but it is still highly suggestible to get it as it usually brings dozens of bug fixes and improves reliability of the phone.

Nokia 5250 supports the User Data Preservation but it is anyway highly suggestible to back up your phone memory before performing a firmware update just as precaution measure in case something goes wrong.

Changelog:

• Improved Bluetooth performance
• Improved connectivity when using a Bluetooth headset
• Improvements to the FM radio

To get this software just click on the Menu button, than > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt > Device updates > Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.

Process of downloading and updating firmware shouldn't take too long and cost you too much. Nokia provides this software free of charge. However, costs for downloading may be charged by your network operator or service provider. Please contact them for information about pricing.

As with all software releases, note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved this release. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware.
