Get Ready For Brick Shattering, Fire Crackling,
And Highly Addictive Arcade Puzzle Action

The game of Tetris has spawned more clones than Doom, and has been subject to many changes throughout releases since the 1980s, either to make the game better or to keep players interested.

Blast Blox by Zed Worldwide is another Tetris based game that adds a nice functional twist to the idea by introducing different types of agent blocks to operate on the existing pile of blocks and offers brick shattering, fire crackling, and addictive arcade puzzle action.

Of course, bomb blocks are not new, as they are used to blow up groups of three or more similarly-colored blocks. What is new is what happens after that. The blown up blocks do not disappear, but turn into wood. It then takes a flame block to ignite that wood, thereby creating a fire.

Then comes the water block, which puts out the fire, but still does not disperse the block unless the water is on the lowest level of the structure. If it is, then the water disappears through the drain at the bottom, the blocks on top of it all move down, and you are credited for destroying the block.

But that's not all, you also get extra credit for combination plays, such as blowing up a set of brick blocks that are adjacent to a flame block. When the bomb settles, it turns the bricks to wood, and the wood is immediately lit on fire by the flame block and a “combo-2″ message appears.

In theory, one could cleverly create a combo-4, in which a bomb block turns a set of bricks to wood, which are then immediately set on fire by an adjacent flame block, then quenched to water by an adjacent water block, and then drained because the set of blocks happens to be on the bottom row.
