Brief: Nokia Rolled Out New Firmware Update For Nokia E72

All Nokia E72 owners should be happy because Nokia has just released a new software update to fix bugs and glitches found in the actual firmware and to update ROM applications.

The new firmware is meant to provide further performance improvements, new functionalities, so-called bug-fixes and number of updates to preinstalled applications including Nokia Maps, Share on OVI and Ovi Store.

New software is at the moment only available through Nokia Software Updater for most of the generic product codes from EMEA and APAC region and is expected to be available for the rest of the world as well as for NAM and branded devices shortly.

Unfortunately, firmware is not available as FOTA update which is by the way the best, simplest and the fastest possible way of delivering software updates and the only reason could be the number of update ROM application which significantly increase the size and makes the update not suitable for delivering over the air.

Nokia E72 is UDP enabled but it is anyway highly suggestible to back up your phone memory before performing a firmware update just as precaution measure in case something goes wrong!

As with all software releases, note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved this release. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware.
