Free Walk & Drive Navigation
Now Available For Nokia E66 & E71
After listening to your overwhelmingly positive feedback and feeling your love for your favorite mobile phone, the good folks from Ovi maps team have launched a new version of the Ovi maps client that is heavily optimized for oldie but Goldie Nokia’s business devices. The latest Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation is now (officially) available for Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 and you download it for free from nokia.com/maps.
Free walk and drive navigation has been available on a range of devices such as the Nokia E72, Nokia N97 mini and X6 since January and recently, as some of you discovered, also on the Nokia N86 8MP.
However, because of technical constraints, it isn’t possible to offer premium content such as Michelin and Lonely Planet guides on these devices.
Although these two devices will also be the last of the S60 3.1 and older devices to sport this version of Ovi Maps, all upcoming Nokia GPS phones will get free walk and drive navigation.
The new version of Ovi Maps includes high-end car and pedestrian navigation features, such as turn-by-turn voice guidance for 74 countries, in 4 6languages, and traffic information for more than 10 countries, as well as detailed maps for more than 180 countries.
Nokia is the only company with a mobile navigation service for both drivers and pedestrians that works across the world. Unlike the legacy car navigation manufacturers. Now you don't need to buy maps and navigation for different countries or regions, Nokia offers both navigation and maps free of charge, with all the high-end functionality and features that people now expect.
