Experimental Nokia Diagnostics Application
Now Available For Beta Testing On S60 3.2 Devices
The good folks over at Nokia Beta labs have just introduced Nokia Diagnostics application for S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 devices.
The application is essentially the same as the touch version released couple of weeks ago but it support a lot more S60 devices. We do recommend you to check that your device is running the latest software before trying it out since some older device software versions can potentially cause undesirable behavior.
The main intention behind creating this experimental software is to create a solution for helping millions of Nokia users diagnose, troubleshoot, and configure their devices with ease on their own.
Beta lab’s developers believe that exposing this idea to the Beta Labs community and sharing this application prototype would help them realise just that.
With Nokia Diagnostics, you can diagnose, troubleshoot and configure your device using five different tests:
- Network Coverage test. You can get all the network related information and detect offline status & SIM card presence.
- Internet Connectivity test. Perform a real-time Internet connectivity test and identify the setting with which you can have a seamless internet access.
- Battery Charger test. Check if your device charges properly with the charger connected.
- Loudspeaker, Earpiece test. Check your loudspeaker & earpiece functionality.

Please download the application (requires login), try it out on your device, and post your feedback at Beta Labs. In particular, we are interested in hearing about other diagnostic tests you would expect to see in such an application. said Ravi Sarma NBL
