Here Is Yet Another Nice
Promotional Video Of The Nokia N97
Nokia continues to use YouTube and other social networks such as Facebook, MySpace Orkut, and Flickr as a slick marketing tool to produce increases in brand awareness and to achieve other marketing targets.
Marketing fads come and go but YouTube and the viral advertising look like they are here to stay and here is yet another eye-catching promotional video that lasting approximately 3 minute and highlights some of the key points of the company’s flagship device with focus on the killer beauty and form factor but at the same time it fails to show the weak and wobbly hardware as well as slow and buggy software.
Nokia is a very famous brand and Nokia N97 is device blessed with a well designed shape and ergonomically correct form factor which provides excellent support and comfort but I strongly believe that the real beauty comes from inside!
The Nokia N97 is very beautiful device with a great tilt-slide-out QWERTY keyboard which makes it visible even in a big crowd, but question you should be asking yourself is, do you really need one and do you need a new phone because of crowd or because of yourself!?
Well, to be really honest with you, for me, Nokia N97 is nothing but the Nokia 5800 packed into different form factor with a slightly better camera and various minor software improvements here and there.
Sure it has the whooping 32 GB of build in flash memory but I’ll give 31.9 GB for a slightly faster processor and twice as RAM! I just can’t believe that such expensive flagship device isn’t powerful enough to properly run two decent applications at the same time. Phone is based on exactly same hardware as Nokia 5800 (with a bit overlocked processor) and suffers from exactly the same problems, I can’t run music player and Sports tracker at the same time because there is a risk of Sports Tracker crashing.
Yet Another Promotional Video Of The Nokia N97
So, b ecause of the crappy processor and low RAM I need to choose to run without Music that makes my long aerobic exercises less boring or without Nokia Sports Tracker that acts as my personal trainer and motivation gainer! It seems that it is right time to switch back top my oldie N95-1 but unfortunately its crappy QVGA screen prevents me to do that :(
This is obviously a very subjective post but I just like to look at certain things from a semi romantic perspective, mainly because my lack of self control from the high of emotion which is more than noticeable in my reviews and articles. Sure, I do agree that criticism is much more valid if it is presented in a more objective way and serious journalist is supposed to review the phone as is, not per personal expectations and to write critics in an objective way to add it an extra layer of formality and politeness but I just can’t resist to tell what I think :(
