+ Latest rumours: Nokia N97 Mini Spotted In The Wild

29 July 2009

Nokia Is Set To Launch
Slimmer and Smaller Version of Nokia N97!?

Nokia As The Computer Company The rumour about the slimmer and smaller variant of the Nokia’s flagship device has started to circulate couple of months ago due the strange black device spotted in Nokia N97 design story video which is later explained as one of the abandoned design concepts.

Well, now thanks to folks over at Engadget mobile, the new, fresh and highly believable rumour has started to flood the internet supported with two very live photos of the phone that is supposed to be released as the Nokia N97 mini.

As of now, there is no word about specifications and photos aren’t confirmed by any official sources whatsoever, but it phones look so real that is hardly to believe that something like this is photoshopped hoax!? I'm not saying that couldn't be faked or this is not yet another Chinese phone that physically resembles the Nokia N97 but it looks to good to not be true.

Not to mention that I recently I came in possession of some confidential Nokia documents, including Europe & Eurasia Roadmap which clearly show that Nokia is indeed working on smaller variant of its highly-anticipated device and phone should be launched later this year.

Anyway, as we can see from the photos, Nokia N97 mini is essentially just a smaller version of the current (black) Nokia N97 that lacks d-pad and features a smaller screen, probably the same one as on Nokia 5800.

Keyboard layout and the front side of the phone is pretty much the same but the back part is radically changed with significantly different battery cover and the camera part that is still powered with crappy dual led flash and lacks the any kind of lens protection which is not that bad considering how bad is the lens protector on its big brother!
