Firmware Update For Nokia N79!
Just a short note to inform you that Nokia has just rolled out yet another major firmware update for the Nokia N79.
Firmware 30.011 is now available for the Nokia N79 as the FOTA update (Firmware Over The Air) for most of the generic product codes and should be progressively available for branded devices and through Nokia Software Updater as well. Additionally this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.
There is no detailed change log for now but according to NSU team this software release comes with number of stability improvements and new features that will help you stay in touch with your friends.
Contacts application now include Ovi features that allow you to locate your friends and receive updates on what they are doing.You can also chat with your friends and share your favorite places with them. This release also includes an improved video stabilisation.
To get this software through your Nokia N85, click Menu > Tools > Utilities > Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.
Process of downloading and updating firmware shouldn't take too long and cost you too much. Additionally this software release should be available through the Nokia Software Updater soon so you'll be able to get it on classic way as well.
Nokia provides this software free of charge. However, costs for downloading may be charged by your network operator or service provider. Please contact them for information about pricing.
As with all software releases, note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved this release. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device firmware. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible.
