Yet Unannounced Nokia Fulltouch
Device Revealed In The Star Trek Movie
As I have said couple of days ago, whoever is doing Nokia's product placement marketing deserves compliments for the hard work and the greatest product placements ever!
As most of you already know, Nokia has started promotion of its first mass-market touch screen device months ahead of its official release with the ultimate product placement in the hottest movie of the last year, The Dark Knight movie and now they are doing the same with one of the biggest, if not the biggest, summer movies of 2009!
Nokia and Phones4U have teamed up to release a limited 5800 Star Trek Edition that will have Trekkies foaming at the mouth but Nokia 5800 phone not featured in the movie itself! The biggest technology product placement in the new Star Trek movie is reserved for the yet unannounced Nokia full touchscreen phone!
At one point in the movie, a young James Kirk driving a car and gets a call with the modernized version of well known Nokia tune (also called Grande Valse on old Nokia mobile phones), which is by the way the first identifiable musical ring tone on a mobile phone.

Then he accepting the call by pressing the big onscreen button under the big and well visible famous "NOKIA" logo on a high-tech full screen device surrounded by a mirror-finish chrome frame and that’s basically all about.
Not sure if this is a real device or just another concept phone especially designed for this movie but let's hope this is the first glimpse of the real Nokia's flagship touch device!
