+ Nokia N97 Near Shipping - Support Pages Online!

30 May 2009

Weekend Watching:
Nokia N97 Near Shipping
Support Pages and New Promo video

ThinkingIf you're one of those who can't wait (we can't blame you; most of us feel the same way) to get your hands on the Nokia N97, here's some good news! Nokia's N97 support site is online now which means that final version of the user manual is available for you to download and go through!

The presence of the support site and final version user manual is always a good sign that something is happening and indicates that phone is just around the corner and that Nokia going to ship phone within the next couple of days or weeks, at least I hope.

Beside the support site, there are also bunch of new eye-catching photos of the black device so N97 fans may have a difficult time knowing which one to pick up?!

But wait that's not all! There is an also new promo video that appeared yesterday on the facebook group named as "The Nokia N97 - Online as it happens!?" Also, some folks have managed to get the Nokia’s official service manual level 3 and upload disassembling video on the YouTube which might be an interesting weekend watching.

The Nokia N97 - Online as it happens!

Well, I guess that everything about Nokia N97 is already very well known and it will be really hard to say something about this phone but not to repeat myself so just to recap in case you have forgotten; Nokia N97 is company’s top-end model with an utterly awesome 32 GB of build in flash memory expendable over microSD card slot; 5 MPX Carl Zeiss camera with dual led flash; huge 3.5” screen.

Furthermore, it’s powered with 5th edition of the S60 platform and features radically improved active standby screen and maybe even the most importantly, great metamorphosing tilt-slide-out QWERTY form factor that offers an easy switch from candybar phone with a full touch screen to the mini laptop mode with s full QWERTY keyboard.

Its full QWERTY keyboard with a REAL tactile feedback is designed to appeal to those who don't like virtual on screen keyboard and don’t want to learn a new technology but again you can easily close keyboard you are back to finger friendly touch user interface which is perfect for browsing, reading documents and various tasks.

From other hand, even non-power users feel that device is somehow underpowered, that it fails to live up to expectations and fails to carry out the claims of the advertisements, mainly due the weak processor, only 128 MB of build in RAM and the lack of the dedicated GPU which will seriously affect over all system performances and gaming experience and quality.

As usually you are more than
welcomed to comment it over at our forum section.
