+ Three New S60 Devices Added to Remote Access Service

Three New S60 Devices
Added to Remote Access Service

Remote device access RDAForum Nokia recently added the three new S60 devices to the list of devices available to developers under the Remote Device Access (RDA) service.

Nokia E55, Nokia N86 8MP, and the latest XpressMusic, Nokia 5730 are now available on the RDA and if you have a valid Forum Nokia Account you can reserve a testing session right now and start your virtual walkthrough some of the latest S60 phones as soon as you find some white hole in the long red line :]

RDA gives developers access to live Nokia devices over the Internet for testing, demos, and development. It also promotes collaboration among colleagues in remote locations.

Although it is mainly aimed for developers and offers a possibility to reduce the effort on testing, demoing and content & application development but it is also a great opportunity for freaks like us to test some of the latest devices and some of the upcoming phones like Nokia N86 or Nokia E55.

Anyway, once you establish connection with device, the screen of the device is transferred to your desktop in real time, hmm, more like with a slight delay but it is as expected after all. After the home screen appears you’ll be able to install applications, transfer files, test browser, actually you’ll be able to do everything like with real device and you’ll also be able to take the screenshots and even make a video with the build in tools.

So, as I said, all you need basically is a valid account and if you still not a registered there better do it as soon as possible because it is totally free and will cost you nothing. With an account you’ll get the 40 free credits and considering half hour with a device will cost you 2 credits so it means that you have enough credits to test devices for up to whooping 20 hours and you'll get new credits on a daily basis.

Unfortunately I’ve already spent most of my credits so I have to be a bit more rational but I’ve just reserved another session for tomorrow. You see, I came online a bit late today and my reservation was on the end so I just run it briefly to take few screenshots and I have to say that SF looks great on this high-definition screen!
