Samsung To Replace Nokia
As Leading Vendor In The Europe!?
According to data from GF Market research group Samsung Electronics Co., world's second-largest handset maker topped the list of the most popular mobile phones in Britain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Russia.
The South Korean giant holds about a 30 percent market share in Russia, Italy and the Netherlands, according to the report!
Samsung's aggressive sales efforts, broad device portfolio across multiple carriers, targeting the premium phone category and pretty popular full touchscreen phones were the key reasons behind its growth.
By offering full portfolio of devices, from high-end products such as the touch-screen Omnia to low-end phones heavily subsidized by carriers, Samsung could take over Nokia's leadership in Europe sooner than expected.
Samsung's F480 model is expected to set a record in Switzerland, where it has been at the top position for the last 26 weeks, while five other models made the top 10 product list among mobile phones sold in France.
