Nokia N97 Is Scheduled To Hit UK
In June With O2 & July With Vodafone?

As you may have already know, at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia has announced that its highly anticipated full touchscreen devices with a tilt-slide-out QWERTY keyboard will be in stores in June 2009.

However, our Stobbsc reports that Vodafone is confirmed that it is going to stock the Nokia N97 and that phone will arrive in the UK in July which is not that god news at all, because phone apparently will not be available as soon as we had hoped.

From other hand it seems that O2 will get it a bit earlier and is expecting that Nokia N97 "will be released sometime in June 2009" despite persistent rumours that O2 as well as Orange may not accept the N97 on their networks due to the Nokia’s partnership with Skype.

Thanks for your email about the Nokia N97. You'll be pleased to know that Nokia N97 will be released sometime in June 20... .. .

We're currently unable to tell you about the price plan. However you can call our sales team on 08442020202 in the month of June. They are available betwe.....

The Skype experience will be part of the address book of the Nokia N97, enabling presence - seeing when Skype contacts are online - as well as instant messaging. O2 and Orange furiously responded to Skype's declaration that Nokia N97 owners will be able to use 3G and WLAN to easily make and receive free Skype-to-Skype voice calls, in addition to low-cost Skype calls to landlines and mobile devices.

Anyway, just to refresh your memory, Nokia N97 is powerful device that offers the best of both worlds, an awesome touch sensitive screen, and the full size QWERTY keyboard packed into complex tilt-slide-out form factor that instantly transforms phone into mini laptop with a QWERTY keyboard and the huge high-definition screen.

Nokia N97 is the top-end powerhouse with an utterly awesome 32 GB of build in flash memory; 5 MPX Carl Zeiss camera; huge 3.5” screen; 5th edition of the S60 platform with radically improved active standby screen. Its metamorphosing form factor offers and easy switch from candybar phone with a full touch screen or the mini laptop with s full QWERTY keyboard.
