Symbian Freak

+ Thought: I will leave Symbian... .. .

05 April 2009

I Will Leave Symbian For Android!

I will leave Symbian... for two weeks, starting from next Week! That shocked you right?

Seriously, yes I will skip Symbian for the next 2-4 Weeks, as I will put myself in a little Research titled "Looking at other Operating Systems through the Eyes of a Symbian Freak!"

I will test some nice Devices in the next 2 - 4 Weeks, all with different Operating Systems running on it. What I want to find out is, if I could imagine myself with anything else than Symbian.

What rocks on other OSes? What's missing? What can Symbian take from it, where can Symbian improve?

The Plan for the next 2 Weeks will be a T-Mobile G1, which I get thankfully sponsored from T-Mobile Austria, completely set up and ready to go with a Test Sim Card, which is totally free for Use, with unlimited Calls, SMS, Web Browsing etc, well to make it short, I can do with that G1 whatever the Hell I want to, and that is just amazing!

I will still use my N82 as Backup for my 2nd SIM Card, but I'll definitely take that Opportunity, that T-Mobile has offered me, as I’m planning to quit my Vodafone Contract anyways next Year and switch to T-Mobile then ..

What I’m planning on reporting is something like blogging here on SF on a daily (or at least near-daily) basis, just mentioning and talking about random Things I’ve noticed over the whole Day using it, and of course discuss with you Guys about it.

Don't get this all wrong, I will definitely not Symbian Freak or Symbian OS in any Way, but since Nokia has not a Thing that impresses me for the Moment, I’ll take the Time left and start exploring new Stuff!

I will leave Symbian
