+ Expanded Widgets Distribution Through The Betavine Zon

10 March 2009

Widget Distribution Tool Taps
Into 1 Million Vodafone Customers

Betavine Widget ZonMobile developers can now distribute their widgets to an audience of up to 1 million Vodafone customers, following the introduction of a new publishing facility available through the Betavine Widget Zone.

By uploading their widgets via the Betavine Widget Zone, developers are able to use the Vodafone Widget Manager Beta as a distribution channel to reach Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Widget Manager Beta is currently compatible with 10 popular S60 handsets across the UK, Spain, Germany and Italy, with South Africa due to launch next month – a potential audience of around 1 million customers.

Vodafone Widget Manager Beta is a free application available for customers to download from Vodafone live!

For more information on widgets – including a new tutorial on creating them from scratch and the terms and conditions under which widgets will be accepted for distribution – visit the Betavine Widget Zone.

And don’t forget that the Betavine Widget Competition 2009 is well underway and open for entries. If you want a chance to showcase your widget creations and win £20,000 in the process, make sure you enter. The deadline is the end of April.
