Krusell's List of TOP-10
Mobile Phones for March 2009
The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, has released their "Top 10"-list for March 2009.
The list is based on number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases ordered from Krusell during March 2009. Krusell's list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.
Samsung’s flagship touch device, Omnia keeps its leading position on Krusell’s Top 10 bestseller list for March which reflects strong demand for touch screen devices but despite this growing trend it seems that iPhone is losing touch with consumers.
For the last couple of months iPhone is not listed on Krusell’s list and I guess most of you will agree with me that all the hype and euphoria over the Apple’s phone is finally wearing off, iPhone is losing its badge as a status symbol and slowly but significantly losing market share as well.
"The top selling list for March reflects the growing trend where we see an increased demand for a well designed protection for smart phones," says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. "The Omnia as well as Touch HD and the E-series from Nokia are good examples of precious devices that the user is anxious to protect, and to do it with style. The consumers are becoming more demanding and they don’t accept a solution that doesn’t combine protection, user-friendliness and good design."
It’s also interesting that best positioned Nokia device is Nokia E71, which is now positioned on the 5th position right behind HTC Touch HD. Nokia 5800 keeps its position on the list while the Xperia is pushed out by Samsung M8800.

Although Nokia again failed to get leading position it is clear winner with devices on 2 nd and 3 rd place and whooping 6 devices on the list Nokia is clear winner. Samsung is on the 2 nd place, Blackberry and HTC are represented with one device while the well known manufactures as Sony Ericsson and Motorola and LG are not listed at all.
