Major Firmware Update
For
Nokia 5800 Nam Is Available Through NSU
A couple of days ago I've mentioned that updated version of the Nokia 5800 NAM with the firmware version v20 is back on the shelves at Nokia's flagship stores and finally available to U.S. consumers.
Anyway, our Chargen reports that firmware 20.2.014 is now available through the Nokia Software Updater, which basically means that current owners of the Nokia 5800 who experience signal issue are finally able to update their devices and get the rid of annoying problem with accessing AT&T's 3G network.
There is no change log unfortunately but as far as I know that it should fix mentioned 3G network problems and several other issues. Firmware v20 also brings an extensive improvements in the performance and optimizes the functionality of the phone across many applications.
I guess that update is based on the latest update for the Euro model and includes the addition of the geotagging, better, faster and more accurate autofocus and the support for the front camera.
Especially thanks to Pete (Chargen) fro the heads up!
