Nokia 5730 XpressMusic
Nokia's QWERTY Slider Leaked And
Reviewed
Eldar Murtazin from the well-known Russian Mobile Portal has managed to impress me once again with the first glimpse of the upcoming Nokia’s midrange side-qwerty phone.
He just rolled out in-depth review of the Nokia of 5730 XpressMusic, upcoming slider QWERTY phone from Nokia based on the same concept as the recently leaked Nokia E75! Review is unfortunately only available in Russian at the moment but ‘m pretty sure it will be translated as soon as possible!
In mean time you can use Yahoo’s Babelfish or Google translation engine or wait few days until Eldar's slaves translate text and move article to English section of the site.
Messaging related phones have become all the rage as the texting continues to grow as a preferred way of quick communication, sms, e-mail and messengers are very poplar way of the communication nowadays and Nokia decision to increase the effort on QWERTY devices is not surprise at all.
My Russian isn’t as good as it once was and the review is obviously based on the very early proto hardware and the buggy software that looks like the classic 3rd ed version with addition of the Feature Pack 2. He also mentioned something about the improved active standby similar the Nokia 5800 contact bar shown in the promo material but he didn’t manage to find it on the actual device.

Although it features the famous Carl Zeiss optic, camera will not be the key point of this device and Eldard claims that quality is comparable to Nokia N78! Furthermore, phone is equipped with disappointing Nokia BL-4U Battery with capacity of just 1000 mAh! With its diagonal of just 2” and totally outdated QVGA resolution screen is disappointing as well even for the midrange device like this one. There is an also some kind of tap control which based on the accelerometer I guess?

There is an also 128 MB of RAM and 140 MB of build in flash memory expandable over the microSD card slot with the 8 GB card in the box. To sum up, Nokia of 5730 XpressMusic is not a phone for freaks like us, but with expected price of just 220 Euros, QWERTY keyboard and wide range of connectivity options it could be pretty good solution for those who are looking for the cheaper QWERTY device.
