Another Firmware Update
For Nokia N96 Has Just Gone Live
I hope you will excuse my absence today, as the Christmas season starts life is getting pretty hectic here, my office is extremely busy with various different activities but I believe everything's gonna be alright soon because... .. ...holidays are coming ;)
Anyway, earlier today I informed you about the new firmware update for the Nokia N96 but unfortunately I couldn't find enough time to move it on the front page.
So here it is, just a quick heads up and the change log mainly for the benefit of those who don't read our forum section frequently.
Nokia has rolled out another firmware update for their 'flagship model' and although it is supposed to be the major update I am afraid it is not because it brings nothing new and is mainly focused on fixing the known bugs and various different annoying issues from the previous release.
Firmware v12.043 for Nokia N96 is now available through the Nokia Software Updater and should be available as the FOTA (Firmware Over The Air ) update for most of the Generic European codes!
This software release is available though either the Nokia Software Updater or directly through your Nokia N96. To get this software through your Nokia N96:
- Click Menu > Tools > Utilities > Device Manager.
- Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update.
As usually, you can find more information about the latest firmware update over the forum section.
