Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
May Not Be As Affordable As Expected
Well, it is a huge challenge to write something about the Nokia Tube without repeating too much what has been written before but I’ll try anyway :]
I sure that most of you will agree with me that Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is expected to be one of the most wanted consumer electronics products for Christmas, not only because of the impressive list of features and the touch user interface but also due the surprising low price needed to make Christmas Tube sales explode!
At the official launch in London Nokia has promised a price of just 279 Euros, which makes it a must have gadget this Christmas but unfortunately it just may not be as affordable as you or I had hoped although we know that announced price is without taxes and subsidies!
Anyway, Xataka reports that phone is now available for pre-order on Nokia Spain web site for about 429 Euros and phone will be exclusively released in Spain on 1st December, one day before the Nokia World event and 5 days before expected launch in Russia!
So, the phone will cost around the 430 Euros and now add the 100 Euros for Nokia Comes With Music service and the final price will be around whoooooping 530 Euros which is far away from expected price of 300-350 Euros after the taxes and subsidies!
So not only that it will not be as cheap as we though it will also miss the Christmas shopping period in most developed markets and to be honest with you I am pretty disappointed!
