Wordpress Blogging Client To Be Optimized
For Nokia 5800 and 5th edition of S60 Platform
I love that first S60 touchscreen phone is hot enough to force developers to make a touchscreen optimized version of their application! Sure, S60 5th edition is backward compatible and most of the 3rd applications will works just fine on Nokia 5800 but it is nice to see that developers want to improve their applications and optimize UI to get the most from the touchscreen phones!
Same as the Qik dev team, the folks over at officially Telewaving blog are excited about the launch of the 5th edition of the S60 platform that brings support for touch-screen equipped mobile phones and they really like the very first Nokia touchscreen phone powered with the latest OS and platform version!
But that’s not all of course, they are apparently started to work on the porting its mobile blogging client Wavelog to the latest operating system and platform version.
New version of the Wavelog is under heavy development at the moment and on the left photo you can see the screenshot of Wavelog version 2 taken from the S60 5th SDK emulator.
They are intensively working on the optimizing the UI to get the most from the touch controls and great high resolution screens and they are expecting that 2nd version of the Wavelog application optimized for touch-screen phones will be ready before the Nokia 5800 arrives to shops.
Wavelog has been initially developed and tested on Nokia N95 mobile phone and it allows posting of the content as text, image, audio or video, to a Web log (blog) directly from the mobile phone using any type of available network (mobile phone or Wi-Fi network).
The application allows saving the work for later posting in the case there is no available network or to allow selection of a network with larger up-link bandwidth (faster posting) or lower cost (for example a free Wi-Fi HotSpot compared to a mobile phone network).
Wavelog does not restrict users to a specific blog hosting provider, social network or an intermediate content aggregation. It permits a complete freedom for choosing blog hosting provider or even installing own blog publishing system on the Internet, extranet, intranet, or a local area network.
It is designed for performance, scalability and reliability, so it is coded in C++ programming language as a native Symbian OS*** application. Wavelog does not use any form of usage tracking for targeted advertisement or direct marketing purposes.
