Symbian Freak Is Officially Pissed Off!?
5800 To Miss Xmas Sales In Developed Markets

Merry Christmas Reuter’s Paul Bolding reports that hottest Nokia phone at the moment will go on sale in seven countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe this year but will miss the Christmas shopping period in most developed markets!

The first Symbian S60 touch-screen phone from the Finish mobile phone giant will go on sale in India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain by year-end!

Phone will cost 279 euros ($387) before operator subsidies and taxes, substantially less than the Apple's iPhone.

I can't believe Nokia is going to miss the Christmas shopping season!? Symbian Freak is officially pissed off!? What is going on here? Once I want something I want it right now not the next year!? I just can’t wait so long to get my hands on final production model but obviously I’ll have to wait longer than expected!

The research firm expects Nokia to ship more than 10 million touch-screen phones and Reuters just pissed off millions of people and this is truly just horrible news if it is true.

I'll be missing you!
I feel like a little child somebody's left there is no rain

"The phone is competitively priced and Nokia's competitive advantage is in emerging markets. When putting two and two together it's logical they start the roll-out from emerging markets," said analyst Neil Mawston from Strategy Analytics.

But JP Morgan analyst Ehud Gelblum said he had hoped the 5800 would be in shops in developed markets by Christmas. "This is disappointing as we had expected the device to be shipping in the critical holiday season for most developed countries," he wrote in a note published on Friday.

Nokia said its schedule was similar to that for many other phones, adding that customizing the phone's software for operators in other markets would take some time.
