Samsung Mobile Innovator beta launches
Samsung has launched a beta version of new Samsung's portal for S60 developers which contains various developers useful resources and the first Samsung specific S60 SDK plug-in for the i450 Touchwheel API.
Website is currently under heavy beta testing, so please take a look around and pay a special visit technical resources.
This means that registration isn’t fully open you won’t be able to use the discussion boards, Market.dev, or Lab.dev until beta testers have passed the site fit for a live service.
In October, they'll open access to further resources and services designed to make it easier to get your application onto our devices—enabling you to test your Samsung S60 application (Lab.dev), request technical support if you are a Core member (Ask.dev), and participate in the discussion boards.
As a member, you'll also be able to submit business proposals using their brand new business development service (Market.dev).
The Samsung i450 is a 'dual slider' phone that features a sliding touchwheel as well as a sliding keypad. The touchwheel allows easy scrolling and navigation in applications, and can be used by third party applications.

Everything you need to use the Touchwheel API in your S60 native C++ applications, for device and emulator targets, is included in the Touchwheel SDK plug-in, which you can download from the Knowledge Base.
The SDK plug-in is a Beta release and requires a simple manual install. For details, read the Readme file included in the download. To use the plug-in, you must have a S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 SDK installed.
