Reuters claims that two reliable industry sources have confirmed that Nokia will unveil its first S60 based touch-screen phone at a media and analyst event in London next week.
Both sources said Nokia was set to unveil the phone, codenamed "Tube" on Oct 2, so we are pretty sure now although Nokia spokeswoman declined to comment it.
He also added that Nokia is fully committed to bringing a complete portfolio of touch devices and treat the markets with touch enabled phones in all price ranges from the low-end over the mid-range models to the high-end devices!
"Our first touch device will be aimed solely at the volume part of the market." Said the Kai Oistamo to Head Nokia's Mobile-Phone Division! "So far this year we have already publicly announced 10 new smartphones that will sell in the second half.
Additionally, we expect to announce several more, some of which will hit the market before the end of the year." CEO Kallasvuo added speaking of the Smartphones.
You know I’ve already got some "insider" information that launching is on the corner, in a matter of days I was told but I wasn’t really sure if it is true or not and I hope that this Reuters’s report if the final confirmation.
