+ Never Enough: SanDisk 16GB MicroSD Available Now!

26 September 2008

SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD Cards
Available and Confirmed As Compatible!

16GB microSDHC Card

It was way back in February when we first alerted you about upcoming SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD cards and confirmed it as compatible shortly after and now I am pleased to inform you that 16GB MicroSDHC cards are now available in major retail outlets worldwide!

Card is available for £44.99 over at MobyMemory and it is really affordable way to wake up your phone with a whooping 16GB of extra storage capacity!

Not to mention how jealous everyone will be, especially your friends with a Nokia N95 8GB as their lovely phone lacks the card slot unfortunately.

Anyway, our Steve just got the card today from the MobyMemory, it is SanDisk, 16GB, Class 2 MircoSD card and he claims it is fully compatible with his N95-1!

Here is the test report with a screenshots:

Received my card today from mobymemory. It is a class 2.

SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD Cards

Removed the card from the phone & using the mobilemate card reader/writer that I had with my 8GB card I loaded up over 10GB of music ( 1855 tracks ) plus some video's & games.

SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD Cards

Started up the music player, it took about 28mins to refresh the library. But you are not going to install this amount of music in one go very often.

SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD Cards

Was able to select & play any track with no problems. Playback was smooth as usual. Also the video's & games also played back smoothly.

SanDisk's 16GB MicroSD Cards

Restarted the phone. Start-up time was same as normal. 28.2m ram available. ( 28.8m before starting screenshot )

So the card work's fine in my N95-1!
