+ Zeekey app from Zeemote to be pre-loaded on S60 phones!

21 August 2008

Zeemote JS1 Controller to get native support
for Nokia N-Gage games and S60 applications

ZeemoteZeemote, Inc., the makers of intelligent wireless controllers for mobile devices, today announced that Nokia will be the first organization to launch its Zeemote Zeekey application.

This new application enables the Zeemote JS1 Controller to work with N-Gage games and other S60 applications. The Zeemote Zeekey application will come pre-loaded on featured handsets as special gaming bundles and is also available for download on the Nokia website. By combining the Zeemote JS1 Controller and the Zeemote Zeekey application, users can effortlessly replicate the actions performed by the keypad of a compatible Nokia S60 mobile phone.

So, whether you are browsing the internet, cueing up your favorite playlist or playing games, the Zeemote JS1 Controller does away with thumb and finger presses. N-Gage games, for example, become more playable and ultimately more fun as the Zeemote JS1 Controller significantly adds to the interaction between the player and the game.

With a thumbstick and four assignable trigger buttons, the ergonomically designed Zeemote JS1 Controller which weighs just 47g/1.7oz, offers real analog control over Bluetooth(TM), enabling users to truly engage with mobile games and other applications residing on the handset.

Sitting perfectly in the hand, the Zeemote JS1 Controller complements Nokia's ambition in mobile gaming - to offer easy-to-use and high quality experiences wherever, whenever and with whomever you like.

Measuring a snug 95x35x20mm and weighing only 47g (including batteries), the patented Zeemote™ JS1 controller sits perfectly in the hand and is ergonomically designed for optimised comfort. With a thumb toggle and multiple trigger buttons, the JS1 offers real analog control enabling users to truly engage with mobile games.

The Zeemote controller has a miniature wireless remote technology that interacts with mobile phones in as natural a way as your mouse does with your conventional computer. Not only does it enhance game play by providing the type of analog controls people are used to in other platforms, but it helps consumers discover and purchase more content.

Zeemote Ready kits have shipped to participating developers and include testing criteria documents for Zeemote Ready applications, a style guide and submission forms. Interested publishers and developers can join the Zeemote Ready program by visiting http://zeemote.com/developers.
