Joikusoft and FON Work Together
On A New Wi-Fi Mobile Hotspot Solution

As you may have already know, JoikuSpot enables S60 Smartphone to share it's 3G internet connection wirelessly over WLAN with any compatible WLAN device such as laptop or any other wi-fi enable device. Multiple devices can connect to JoikuSpot in parallel and seamlessly share the same 3G internet connection.

Now in collaboration with FON, the world’s largest WiFi community, Joikusoft will release an exclusive version of Joikusoft’s mobile hotspot solution, named FonSpot that will allow you to share your mobile phone's internet connection with the FON community over wifi.

Yes, that’s it, you’ll be able to share your mobile internet connection as part of the FON network which basically means that anyone with valid FON account will be able to log in and use your data bandwidth and connect to the net through your phone.

So basically, FonSpot turns a mobile phone into a Wi-Fi HotSpot, enabling any laptop, iPod Touch, internet tablet or other Wi-Fi device to connect to the Internet using any compatible mobile phone as a secure high speed Internet gateway.

FonSpot with Wi-Fi will effectively replace Bluetooth, cable and USB dongles to access the Internet using mobile phones and 3G connectivity. The FonSpot is a fully secure mobile internet HotSpot solution, and makes use of the maximum security offered by the underlying Symbian OS platform. The users have full control over who will be able to access their FonSpot’s wireless internet connection.

FonSpot is an exclusive offering for members of the FON community. Foneros will be able to share their mobile Internet connection with up to 5 friends, who can connect to their FonSpot. It will be made commercially available for Foneros during 3Q 2008.
