Samsung INNOV8 8 MPX Camera Test
by the Mobile Review

Samsung INNOV8 ( i8510)How can I stop being envious? He did again and I can’t seem to help myself, just kidding of course, or maybe I am not :]

Well, Eldar from well known Russian mobile site definitely knows how to get hands on the hottest phones long before anyone else.

Anyway, he did it again, and I really enjoyed in reading his INNOV8 review which is focused on the imaging capabilities in direct comparison with the classic midrange (Canon IXUS 70) point and shoot camera.

INNOV8 is undoubtedly great product, probably the best S60 phone at the moment with an impressive list of features packed in to relatively small, compact and high quality Samsung’s case.

INNOV8 is a powerful Smartphone and maybe it is not fair to appraise it by its imaging power but it is really nice to see that we are now a step closer to the classic digital cameras.

Unfortunately it seems that it sill can’t replace a decent digital imaging device, mainly because of the sensor size limitations and lack of the xenon flash which is unintelligible and unacceptable move from Samsung!? Flagship phone with high end camera part (sensor especially) and low end led flash!?

Well, I guess we can't have it all!!!! I sure wish we could, with xenon flash and high-resolution screen it will be perfect device but it is not the case unfortunately.

ELDAR: While it can't replace a decent digital compact, the INNOV8 will hold its own against unsophisticated digital cameras in most shooting modes and lighting conditions, including low light, which is a big step forward for mobile phones.

Also do keep in mind the fact that we have touched upon the i8510's imaging department alone, while it's not a pure imaging-savvy solution per se - the maker himself views it as a flagship solution on most fronts.

We couldn't be happier for Samsung, since they have ventured to stand up to Nokia on the latter's turf (Symbian) and what's more, have managed to come up with a solution that trumps most of contemporary phones, especially when it comes to the imaging department. We'll talk more about other feats and abilities of the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 in our comprehensive review very soon.
