+ Samsung INNOV8 at IFA 2008 - Camera Demo!

Samsung INNOV8 at IFA 2008
Camera Demonstration Shot in High Definition

Samsung INNOV8 ( i8510)I've just found an interesting video which demonstrates imaging capabilities of the Samsung’s INNOV8, the first ever Smartphone that packs impressive 8MPX CMOS camera sensor which allows photography enthusiast to make large-format prints and crop photographs dramatically while maintaining image quality!

Beside the powerful 8.0-megapixel image sensor capable to process images with a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, INNOV8 is also equipped with latest imaging technologies and a full set of automatic functions for intuitive ease of use.

It offers features such as smile shot, blink shot, face recognition, geotagging, auto-panorama shot, mechanical shutter, digital image stabilization and an interesting 120 frames per second slow motion video camera mode.

One of the coolest features is the smile shot which works in conjunction with the facial recognition technology. Basically allows you to trig the camera by putting the smile on your face without need to press the shutter button or setup timer and than rush in front of objective. In Smile shot mode, your phone will be forced to only snap the happy faces of you’re family and friends ;)

Panorama assist mode let you take multiple shots of wide scenes and then merge them together to make a single wide photo. I have the same feature on my S3-IS and the results is usually quite nice and this more than welcome feature that I’ll use a lot.

Samsung INNOV8 ( i8510)

So, in short, its powerful sensor, image stabilizer, smart auto focus with bunch of different face detection based modes and a wide range of customizable features including the ISO sensitivity with range of 60 to 1600, giving users the choice to simply ‘point and shoot’ or explore the creative side of photography.

The best of all, INNOV8 is the Smartphone powered with the most popular mobile OS and S60 platform which opens numerous possibilities. Samsung INNOV8 is undoubtedly the one of the best Smartphones at the moment and the only bad side of the is the unintelligible decision to put the led flash on such powerful camera phone!?!

With xenon flash build in it will be nearly perfect phone but unfortunately it is not the case and it is the only reason why I’ll skip these sexy thing, keep my N95 and wait for the next big thing!
