First Nokia's touch device will be mid-range
phone for the volume part of the market!!
In the highlights from a second-quarter conference call, Nokia Executive Vice President of Devices Kai Oistamo officially said that they remain at work on their touchscreen phones line and first phone should hit the market before the end of the year.
Apparently Nokia is planning to release a bunch of touchscreen phones from the low end over the mid range models to the high-end devices.
They'll will definitely start with the mid-range model Nokia 5800 XpressMedia also know as Tube and then continue to treat the markets with touch enabled phones in all price ranges.
"We are fully committed to bringing to the market a complete portfolio of the touch devices, for the mass market, the high end and even at the low end."
"Our first touch device will be aimed solely at the volume part of the market." Said the Kai Oistamo to Head Nokia's Mobile-Phone Division!
"So far this year we have already publicly announced 10 new smartphones that will sell in the second half. Additionally, we expect to announce several more, some of which will hit the market before the end of the year." CEO Kallasvuo added speaking of the Smartphones.
