Qik Is Out

Qik, pronounced "quick," service has been in private beta since late last year and available just for a select group of video bloggers, some network news organizations and even Vatican officials with a way to report and document developments with the camera on a smart phone.

Qik is no longer limited to select group of testers, Qik is out of private beta and opens up today with the first public beta version.

Along with its debut to the masses, Qik has made some tweaks and has expanded its hardware reach and added more compatible handsets to the list of Symbian devices it currently supports

They also made some significant changes to the Symbian client and the data center and therefore it is necessary to upgrade their Symbian clients to the latest 0.08.70 build. To upgrade just start Qik on the phone and follow the prompt to upgrade.
