GGGG-Unit!!
50Cent Is An N95 and Ovi Share User

50CentI've said all along that once Nokia could put an S60 powered Nseries device in an American pop culture icon's hands, the rest of the marketing would be easy. Well wait no more! The Nseries has just gotten a bit of exposure!

In an interview with Associate Producer Kelsey Blodget at Beet.tv during the Always On Media conference, Nokia's Head of Global Industry and Marketing, Kamar Shah, let on a little secret.

The international hip-hop recording artist, record industry mogul, and urban fashion tastemaker, Curtis Jackson, better known as G-Unit Record's 50Cent, uses a Nokia N95 along with its integrated Ovi Share online media storage and sharing service! Known for his boasts of the good life and only rocking the best, it looks like 50Cent knows his mobiles.

It seems Nokia's powerful handsets with their versatile lineup of bundled Ovi services have begun to gain some high profile fans.Mostly due to it's media creation and connectivity capabilities, Nokia's devices and services have become known as excellent tools for news gathering and broadcasting, social networking, messaging, and web browsing. Celebrity users will only expand exposure to new users, and especially in 50Cent's case, even among the young urban market.

Why Nokia doesn't do more to market and expose their smartphone line in America is beyond me. But I'll do my part, and hope others take notice. So all the noise about celebrities and their cellphones can take a new slant. Now, a big time American musician is using the best device available for creating, experiencing, and sharing media, and it's not made by Apple! Nokia just got a dose cool with a bit of street cred for free. Take that iPhone!
