Sittiphol/Neuvex's Amazing
3D Imaging Manipulation Trick!!
Sittiphol Phanvilai (Bachelor’s degree, computer engineering, Chulalongkorn University,
Thailand), creator of MobiTubia and winner Open C Challenge, and Forum Nokia Champion, has solidified his status as an elite developer in the Symbian community from day one.
His Mobitubia has become a standard for most S60 users, and he is considered a legend for his remarkable talents in programming and innovation.
He is also "brain" behind the numerous innovative projects, projects like great accelerometer controlled MosKillTo 3D engine, standalone multi-touch interface for TV powered with the Nokia N95 and last nut not the least NeuScreen concept.
His newest company and developer group, Neuvex, has tackled some challenges, and amazed us with apps using the camera and accelerometer. Some of his team's recent work, though not practical for commercial use as of yet, are simply amazing. One of these is displayed in a YouTube video that shows it all in action.
Neu360: Magic on N95?!
Apparently, the Neuvex team have figured out how to capture a video of an image, and rotate it on a single axis, then remove that object, yet move the platform upon which that object sat, manipulating the recorded image on the phone screen, as if the platform's motion is controlling the position and view of the image on the screen.
This may seem useless, but imagine this. As a painter or sketch artist, using models for subjects is expensive and time consuming for the model. But if one could capture a 3D image of that model, and easily manipulate that image to have a full 360 degree view, the money saved on a model's hourly rates is money in the bag!!

Sittiphol claims this isn't a major project, but it's no less spectacular. Hopefully another use for his creation will emerge. Until then, I and others can show this video off, and know their S60 device truly is a device of immense power and capability, far more advanced than any phone on the planet.
This truly is advanced mobile computing, and only possible so far on Symbian. 3rd Edition has been an excellent platform, and 5th Edition should allow the Neuvex team to wow us even more. I accept total blame for all the crying, jealous, or confused iPhone users, with pride!
