+ Review: Sony Ericsson Paris is Not as Good as We Thought

27 May 2008

Sony Ericsson Paris
The story of one affordable device

Sony Ericsson P5If you one of those that looking for a revolutionary Sony Ericsson's forthcoming Paris I’m afraid that I have no good news for you. It seems that it is not much better than its very well equipped and also UIQ powered predecessor, SE G900.

Actually, if we can believe to folks over at mobile-review, the recently leaked SE Paris is nothing but the slightly improved Sony Ericsson G900.

Software platform as well as the hardware specifications in Paris prototype that floating around lately are apparently dead ringers for the aforementioned G900, save for the obvious form factor change, rocker style QWERTY keypad, and integrated GPS.

Those changes that will allegedly see the Paris get a €50 premium over its little brother for a grand total of €400 (about $628) when it launches in September. Pretty disappointing end of story if you ask me; just hope that's not all and SE will add something more till September.
