Nokia to release major firmware update
for Nokia N95-3 during June!
It is really hard to believe that it seems that long awaited software update for Nokia N95-3 is on the way!!
Yep, you read it right, Nokia is very well aware of the current situation with North America version of the Nokia N95 classic and they are going to release the Major Firmware update during the June!!
It is really shameless that Nokia still didn’t update one its flag ship product, especially considering that there are few quite annoying issues, especially one with accelerometer based applications which are developed in Python, bunch of the pretty cool games and useful applications are completely incompatible with this phone just because of the buggy and outdated firmware version.
In my personal opinion Nokia should not even released a NAM Nokia N95 if they did not have any intention to support it, while the other sorts of Nokia N95 already got a lot of updates and fancy features like demand paging WRT, ASR and FL3 North American users still waiting for the firmware that will at least fix the known bugs!
Anyway, here is the statement from the team behind the Nokia Software Updater:
Nokia is aware of consumers’ demand for a new software release, and our development teams are working to produce the new software as soon as possible. We estimate that the new software should be available early June.
Please note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved the latest Nokia device firmware available. Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants will have the latest Nokia device firmware. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any delay.
Hopefully it going to be a really major update that will fix bugs as well as brings all of mentioned new features!!
