+ L870 - Another Samsung's S60 device spotted in the wild?

14 April 2008

Samsung L870
Nokia UI packed into Samsung body!

Samsung is extremely productive lately and we got lot of interesting S60 phones from the Korean giant that has potential, money, market share, and strong new S60 products that are fully capable to compete with latest Nokia S60 devices.

Anyway, unwired view reports about Dutch telecom event called Televisie 2008 where Samsung had showed up three brand new, yet unannounced devices.

Device that caught my attention is Samsung L870 spotted by MobileCowboys.nl. Apparently it is the Symbian based device that runs S60 3rd edition, that is same as recently announced G810 packed into high quality, full brushed metal body.

There are just a few basic specification and by them it looks like the cheaper G810 alternative. Samsung L870 is the typical tiny Samsung's slider with with 3 mega pixel camera, FM radio, BT 2.0 and USB 2.0, Qudband GSM, GPRS, UMTS and measures of 102×50x13.55 mm.
