iKonAttack Unique Puzzle Game That
Uses The Camera For s60 2nd Edition Symbian
I know the symbian 2nd edition scene is not what it once was since the launch of the 3rd edition symbian platform, but i do know that there is still a few of the oldskool 2nd edition users out there, and this brief article is to cater for those. I know that we have quite a few regular members at our forum section who still use the nokia s60 2nd edition devices.
This game was sent to me earlier today by my very good friend Sittiphol, it was developed by his brother and it won some competions back in the day, and today was the first i heard of it.
After i spent 30 minutes searching for a 2nd edition device in my ever growing collection of mobile phones, i was able to dig out an old nokia n70, in which i installed this game onto it right away. And i must admit, i was extremly very impresed, and could see right away why this won the competions it was entered into.
It is the very unique puzzle game, one like i have not ever seen before, and very addictive game too. I find myself playing this on my old nokia n70 more than i have been playing my recently purchased ngage games on my nokia n95 lol.
This game has ability to play 2 player over bluetooth, and i think it also has the online mode too with a games room, but i was not able to try this. You are able to set up pre-defined messages to send your opponent whilst playing, taunt them lol.
The most atractive part of this game, is the way it uses the phones camera to interact with the game. With the camera mode set on, you can simply switch your Ikons by running your finger over the camera lens, pretty cool isnt it??.
If you still using the s60 2nd edition phone, then i really strongly recomend you get this game right now and check it out, if you like the great classic type games like tetris and bouble bouble, then your going to love this one too.
I am going to try to talk Sittiphol and his brother into porting this game over to the 3rd edition symbian platform, as i really think it would be a huge success. Hopefully it wont be the too hard task for them to do and we will see the 3rd edition version come from these amazing young developer in the near future. If it does, then you all know where you will find it first.
