FOMA™ NM705i launched today
is based on Symbian OS!
Symbian Limited today welcomes NTT DoCoMo's launch of the FOMA NM705i, which commenced shipping in Japan today.
Nothing exciting by the way, it just looks like the Japanese version of the midrange Nokia's 6120
The FOMA NM705i, a compact and lightweight handset, with support for international roaming, is manufactured by Nokia Corporation and is based on the leading smartphone software S60 on Symbian OS.
Symbian continues to focus on delivering a flexible, robust and open mobile operating system which gives handset manufacturers and network operators the ability to develop differentiated phones, faster, more easily and at lower cost for different market segments and regions.
Symbian customers that have shipped 3G phones in Japan based on Symbian OS include Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric, Motorola, Nokia, Sharp, and Sony Ericsson.
