S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 Reviewed

Feature Pack 2Usually I am not covering stories that are not written in English but this time it really doesn’t matter do you read Cyrillic or do you understand Russian because article contains a thousands interesting screenshots of the upcoming Feature Pack 2 for S60 3rd edition devices.

Eldar from the very well known Russian Mobile site reviewed the Nokia's second pack of features for its 3rd edition S60 platform and managed to take more than 100 screenshots.

Feature Pack 2 comes with improvements in usability and software architecture.

Usability enhancements support the ease of use in for example messaging, multitasking and downloading. Feature Pack 2 also enables instant media playback during downloading and animated notification of inbound calls. Architectural improvements focus on ensuring excellent performance and flexibility of S60 in various hardware configurations, and include for example support for demand paging virtual memory technique.

Unfortunately, as you may have already know we'll not be able to upgrade our phones with the new set of features as it is not possible with S60 platform. We can’t update OS, platform version or add the feature pack and basically all we can do is the firmware update.

It is the really nasty marketing politic that force consumers to buy a new phone just to get the new set of features, so if you want to try it you’ll have to buy some of just announced S60 phones like Nokia N96, New Navigator or Nokia N78

As usually, review will be translated soon but in meantime
you should take a look at all these screens.
