bliinGPSXS (J2ME) for Symbian S60 devices
bliinGPSXS is a free and easy software that sends your GPS-location to the bliin servers so you can be positioned Live! on the map in real-time.
bliinGPSXS is our free and easy applet that sends your GPS-location to bliin. Once installed and running it enables seamless - Live! - positioning and frees you of manually entering your location.
If you have a GPS embedded handset or a bluetooth enabled external GPS-puck feel free to download bliinGPSXS.
On bliin, users can locate and follow friends on a map in real-time, upload media: "Shares" - photos, videos, audio and text to Google Maps or other mapping services. Shares are geo-tagged to the location of capture.
Using your mobile phone you can navigate areas around you in search of friends, family members, colleagues or other users: view their location Shares, and third party location content.

Which handsets are supported?
Most bluetooth (JSR82) & J2ME enabled handsets should run bliinGPSXS.
You can run bliinGPSXS on Windows Mobile, however you must install JavaRunTime on your device. Find additional info about this here. We are working on a Windows Moble native version of the software: stay tuned. Currently BlackBerry is not supported.
Some handsets do not allow multiple applications running (NOKIA S30 series, Samsung, Motorola allow no background applications), in which case bliinGPSXS will exit when clicking Options > Web. Also: NOKIA’s Services & Web browser render m.bliin.com differently; in this case try starting your Web browser to open m.bliin.com instead of bliinGPSXS. Check out our tested devices page for additional information on this.
Send interval?
The send interval option on bliinGPSXS for handsets lets you control the interval of sending coordinates to bliin: every 15 seconds, 15 minutes or manual. If you choose manual you must press Send for each location update to show on bliin. This can potentially save data traffic costs (while roaming abroad!)
What does the Web button do?
This selection opens your handset native web browser and takes you directly to m.bliin.com. Some handsets do not allow multiple applications running (NOKIA S30, Samsung, Motorola), in which case bliinGPSXS will exit. Also: NOKIA’s Services & Web browser render m.bliin.com differently. Check out our tested devices page for additional information on this.
