Native TWUIK Port For Symbian Devices Is Ready!

The very first native port of the TWUIK UI for the J2ME applications is ready and optimized for the leading mobile OS, Symbian of course, all others including Windows Mobile will have to wait ;)

This native Symbian port brings lot of improvements to java applications on Symbian OS and open the window for accessing advanced native functions that is not possible with J2ME att the moment.

J2ME applications powered by TWUIK will get access on the mailbox data, signal strength, battery indicator, replace the IDLE screen, and many, many more.

The On Device Portal UI that they have created for using TWUIK for J2ME, would be the first J2ME application that they are going to port to the Symbian platform.

This technology looks very promising and I guess that it will finally put the Java applications to entire new level and bypass all annoying limitations and improve the applications UI and overall feeling as well.
