+ Hack: Global Race Patch - Get the rid of Speedometer!

Global Race Patch
Get the rid of Speedometer!?

Samsung moviMCPAs you may have already know, awesome Global Race (Raging Thunder) game is optimized for the Nokia E90 and its large internal screen.

Thanks to the scalable user interface game also works on all other 3rd ed S60 devices powered by great OMAP 2420 chipset

It basically mean that game is compatible with, Nokia N95, N93 and N93i, Nokia N82 and upcoming Nokia N96 as well.

Anyway, if you ever tried to play Global Race in landscape mode on something else then an E90, you couldn't have missed the HUGE speedometer, which makes it almost useless and force you to play it in the portrait mode although it doesn’t looks that good as in landscape view.

Now, thanks to the Barak Harel we got a solution, I’ve just found over at our forum section a simple patch that fixes this problems and removes the ugly, huge, annoying and useless RPM meter.

AFTER

UPDATE:
I found solution how to get it all on the right place with the right size ;)
If you are interesting join our forum discussion ;)

The procedure is quite simple, you have to download patch, extract the data.vfs from the archive and replace it over original game’s vfs file that should be stored in the .. ..\private\2000BB2D\ folder, phone or card memory depending on where you have installed it.

Also you’ll have to back up the mentioned file in case that you’ll not like the patch and want back the old UI, otherwise you’ll have to reinstall game to get the rid of this patch. So if you prefer the landscape gaming you should give it a try.
