+ Upcoming: NiiMe Mouse - Using the phone as the 3D Mouse

21 January 2008

NiiMe Mouse
PC Mouse & Wheel control for the Nokia N95!

pyRybka

I’ve just found a very interesting application that should be release soon and turns the phone into a intuitive 3D mouse over the Bluetooth connection and definitely looks even more impressive than controlling the games on the larger TV screen by Samir’s NokMote.

You see, few days ago, over at our forum section I found Kerni’s article about the quite cool video that appeared on YouTube from the unknown author that shows Nokia N95 that acting as the mouse and controlling the PC on the quite cool way.

I made a little research yesterday and finally I found that it is NiiMe Mouse application. Software is still under development and isn’t available for public jet.

Same as the NokMote is uses the built-in accelerometer to detects the movement of the phone and transfer it to the PC over Bluetooth where the PC client applications decode the input and allows you to control the mouse cursor on your PC.

It’s the definitely very intuitive way of navigating your computer desktop but the technology is still under development and all I know for now is that NiiMe has been developed by A2Jsoft and that is written in Python.

Let’s enjoy in video and wait for the release:
