You can’t wait for the ShutUp!?
Get FlipSilent Than!
I have already wrote about the Samir's ShutUp application that is under heavy development should be released soon and now I have something even better that is available right now.
The first taste of competition is here in the form of Tong Ren from theSymbianblog.com who brings a brand new soft with similar functionality.
Both developers are probably inspired by the video that presents the upcoming fifth generation of S60 platform and advanced sensor technology.
Anyway, in short, FlipSilent is a small software which makes you use your phone in a more natural way.
When you are in a meeting or dating, and a call is coming in, you can flipover your phone to make it go into the silent profile and hang up the phone call — without touching anything on the phone, just flip it over, your phone will go into silence!
Marty has got it few hours ago straight from the developer with some additional info and helped me to get it and test it as well and so far so good, great piece of soft although there’s plenty of room for improvement in upcoming versions.
The best thing and actually the only different from the already mentioned Samir’s application is that FlipSilent works with alarms as well which is pretty handy feature, it is quite easier to flip down the phone than to locate the button and hit snooze, to be honest I am even more excited about this feature than about call part ;)
As usually ther is a bad side, application still isn’t available for the public access and if you would like to try it you will have to mail Tong with your IMEI and he will sign it and send it to you.
Not such a big deal for such a great piece of soft but from other hand it is suggestible to keep your IMEI in private and not to send it to unknown people, so its up to you.
