to have self cleaning displays!
 The new mobile phones come with larger, brighter and colorful displays and next year we can expect even larger high-resolutions screens on touch controlled phones.
Beside the all advantages of these large high-resolution screens there is something that really annoys me and most you as well I guess.
They act as some kind of magnet for fingerprints and various different dirt and dust that appear all over them.
According to the patent filed by Sony Ericsson it seems that SE has come up with a solution and prevent this with the self cleaning mobile phone displays.
The main idea is to add some kind of the cleaning slider over the display that work in conjunction with the opening, sliding mechanism of the phone.
When you close the flip-phone, the slider moves to the bottom of the display; thus wiping it clean. And then wipes it once more when you are opening the phone again, the same process works with the slider phone form factor as well. Not sure how it will looks like in practice but in my personal opinion this is not the very elegant idea.
