Psiloc Locatik Beta
No more where are you's?
Unfortunately it is still only the handset makers' dream that people will use phones to locate their friends and ask them for coffee and cake if they are around.
Mainly it is because the build in GPS hardware lacks the soft that should help users to use it on the right way.
Psiloc has realized the importance of the location based services and currently working on the brand new services and give us possibility to share our current geographical location with our friends.
You see, the most frequent first phrase during a phone call is “Where are you?”. Now imagine a bit different situation and start your conversation with something nicer, something like: “Hey, you're just around the corner. What about coffee?” Sounds cool isn’t it?
Well, that’s the main intension of the Psiloc’s free Locatik service which basically allows you to display your current position, share it with your friends and lookup your friends on an interactive Google Map at www.locatik.com.

It lets whomever you want to see where you are now. It currently shows the location of happy owners of GPS-enabled devices but in the future service will be able to display the approximate position of people with less equipped phones.
Anyway, they’ve just release the newest Locatik version 0.91. This version incorporates some changes they've made to Locatik over the past few weeks. You can read in detail about the changes in the Learn More section of www.locatik.com.
The service is currently in private beta stage and compatible with Nokia S60 3rd edition devices and if you would like to try it you’ll need an invitation. To get invitation send a mail request to locatik@psiloc.com
